Thomas College Women’s Rugby – NCAA Division III (NIRA)
Located in Waterville, Maine, USA
We are proud to be a brand-new NCAA Division III women’s rugby program competing in the National Intercollegiate Rugby Association (NIRA), with a full-time head coach, part-time assistant coach, and a dedicated rugby pitch on campus.
While NCAA Division III institutions do not offer athletic scholarships, Thomas College provides generous merit-based scholarships and an International Opportunity Scholarship for qualified non-U.S. citizens. These awards make a high-quality U.S. education more accessible and are available in addition to other grants for students who are not residents of the state of Maine.
As one of the newest additions to Thomas College Athletics, our women’s rugby program is about more than just competition—it’s about building something meaningful. We are creating a team culture that values leadership, academic excellence, and global connection. Our coaching staff brings international and national-level experience, and we are committed to supporting our athletes both on and off the pitch.
Whether you’ve played rugby for years or are looking to grow in a competitive collegiate environment, you’ll find a welcoming, high-energy team ready to support your goals.
Come be part of something special. Join us in building a legacy from the ground up and help shape the future of rugby at Thomas College.
