Biography

My name is Molly Adamson, and I’m a proud member of the Sydney University squad competing in the Chikarovski Cup. I’ve been part of this team for three years, and rugby has been a central part of my life for the past seven. From the moment I first stepped onto the field, I knew this was the sport I wanted to dedicate myself to. I’m a hardworking and passionate athlete who thrives on being challenged. I’m always looking for ways to improve my game, whether that’s through feedback, extra training, or pushing myself beyond my limits. My goal is simple: to become the best player I can be and pursue rugby as a professional career after graduating high school. When I first joined Sydney University, I travelled from my hometown in Bathurst to attend every training session, this drive was a 6.5hr route done three times a week with my mum, whilst remaining committed to my High School Studies. That commitment reflects how much this sport means to me. Over the years, I’ve had the honour of representing at various levels, including being selected for the NSW U18s in 2025. Rugby isn’t just a game to me, it’s a passion, a lifestyle, and a future I’m determined to build through dedication, resilience, and love for the sport. Molly Adamson

Dear Exeter, My name is Molly Adamson, and I firstly want to express my appreciation taking the time to read this message. I understand that reaching out directly is unconventional, but I hope you can admire the sincerity behind it. My ambition has always been to play professional rugby union, and I am determined to pursue every opportunity that will push me toward that goal. I have recently graduated from St Catherine’s, Waverley in Sydney, where I boarded to further my rugby development, although still being young I have been playing in the Sydney Uni division 1 side for the past 3 years as a backrower as well as being involved consistently in the NSW 15s and 7s sides. That move along with recovering from two stress fractures in my L5 vertebra taught me resilience, independence, and how much I thrive when faced with challenge Over the past year, I have realised that I want to pursue my rugby pathway overseas. I understand the hard work, sacrifice, and consistency required to reach that standard. I am ready for it. I understand I am young but I strive for professionalism, high performance mindset, and the standard of rugby your environment represents. I admire the pathway, the culture, and the players who have developed through your structures. I believe I would be in an environment in which I could grow rapidly, challenge myself daily, and contribute meaningfully to a squad. I would be incredibly grateful for the opportunity to discuss any potential pathway, whether at club level, academy involvement, training opportunities, or any form of trial that could allow me to demonstrate my ability and commitment. I am more than willing to relocate, and I can be available as early as this year should an opportunity arise. My mother has always taught me that you never know the answer if you don’t ask, so I am simply asking: if there is any way I can start my Journey , I would give everything I have to make the most of it. I know the road will be demanding, but I am passionate, driven, and ready to work extremely hard to earn my place. Thank you sincerely for your time. I would greatly appreciate any guidance or a contact within your organisation who might help me understand the next step.
